Eco Plaza Seating Design/Build

This seating area for PSU’s Eco Plaza was part of a design-build course. We began the design with excess cut-off pieces of CLT beams, as well as miscellaneous scrap metal. All available pieces were measured and modeled, then manipulated into various 3D iterations. The final 3D model was then disassembled to create construction documents and begin the build. After the fabrication of all steel members, the CLT blocks were then attached to the steel frame in situ.
